Education for All

What is EFA?

A Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Community Outreach Program

Nanritam’s Education for All (EFA) is a Community Outreach program, to disseminate quality foundational education to all children, addressing the gap in access to learning in remote/underpriviledged areas. It is a play-based, hands-on pedagogy for children aged 3-8, empowering educators with sessions on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy, social skills, conversational English and holistic development. Recent EFA extensions include hands-on, in-class-demonstratable Foundational Math and Science sessions for classes V-X. The keystone is children learn more naturally, when learning is a fun activity. Their progress is monitored by regular assessments.

Extending Nanritam EFA to activity-based Foundational STEM!

The EFA program is now introducing novel experimental and hands-on, activity-based Science and Maths sessions for standards V-X. This ensures many of the rural, remote/ underpriviledged children get the necessary opportunity to aquire foundational STEM at no/low cost. Some might then later pursue science education, or become effective in using the technological skills, for value-added productivity. Here again, the EFA objective is to empower grassroots science teachers with quality technology tools like Apps, ChatBot, and AI enabled interactive gaming and interactive data interactive tools.

  • midterm grades of students from Control Group schools (schools that dropped out of the program), show little or no improvement from their baseline assessments.
  • Further when reviewed in the context of the ASER 2022 Report, the study reveals that the EFA model may be effective to address the gaps identified in the ASER 2022 report.
