From around our classes, see the action!!
Children learn best, when they enjoy their lessons! An age-old truth, yet how wonderful to see it come alive! Nothing is as rewarding as seeing how quickly and effectively children are learning with the playful activities, and activity-based learning!
The dual advantage of seeing how these activity-based routines are also developing their Gross/ Fine Motor Skills, their conversational English capabilities, their numeracy — alongside the lesson at hand — is an added bonus!
In this section, we bring you live action from our various participating learning centers, as the children show us what fun learning can be!
Children learn basic arithmetic with a monster box (class-made, with a cardboard box, gift wrap, plastic cups) who eats chocolates and helps them count! 🙂
A fun morning routine that helps improve English literacy, as well as develops children’s gross motor skills. And of course is fun!!
An activity based way of learning the usage of the words This and That, played in a group and outdoors.
The teacher uses dots as a visual aid to enhance childrens understanding of the increasing / decreasing value of numbers.

Collaboration with North Bengal Police - Overview
A short overview video of the collabortation between NanritamEFA and the North Bengal Police. It provides snippets of the activity-based pedagogy for primary and pre-primary school children in North Bengal districts — both kinds of snippets: of the Police Civic Volunteers being trained in the Playful Learning tools, and also of the children of the remotest of tea gardens, having learnt these playful learning lessons, then demonstrating what they have learned!
So heartening to note how quickly the training has been incorporated into the schools, and how joyfully and effectively the children have learned, embracing these fun teaching methods!
At North Bengal refresher training #3, Feb 2023
